BJP gets massive majority, may form government for 7th time on December 12

CM Of Gujarat: With 156 seats in Gujarat, BJP has got a thumping majority. On December 12, BJP is ready to form the government for the seventh time in the state. Party leader Bhupendra Patel is likely to take oath as chief minister along with 20 other cabinet ministers. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, however, submitted his resignation to Governor Acharya Devvrat on Friday before the formation of the new government.

Today, on Saturday, the BJP is going to hold a meeting of its Legislature Party at Kamalam, the state BJP office in Gandhinagar, after which all the leaders will meet the Governor at around 2 pm and present their claim to form the government.

According to sources, on the same day Bhupendra Patel will take oath as CM, 20 cabinet ministers can also take oath on the same day and will take charge in their respective offices from the very next day.

The BJP won the assembly elections with a thumping majority, the largest number of seats won by any party since the 1960s. This time in Gujarat, BJP has made many new records in its name, in which Bhupendra Patel has also won from his constituency Ghatlodiya with 1 lakh 92 thousand votes.
