BJP’s old ally Dushyant Chautala will contest elections from here, he called CM a kite cut

Haryana Election Updates: Former BJP ally and Jannayak Janta Party leader Dushyant Chautala has announced his seat. Chautala is going to contest from his stronghold Uchana Kalan. There are chances that an exciting contest can be seen on this high profile seat of Haryana, because Birendra Singh’s son Brijendra can also stake his claim from here. Here, Chautala is also targeting Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini.

On Sunday, Chautala announced that he will file his nomination on September 5. During a rally, he said, ‘On September 5, there will be a havan at the Uchana Kalan party office, after which the nomination will be filed. On October 2, a rally will be organised at the Uchana Kalan grain market, in which JJP national president Ajay Singh Chautala, Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) leader and Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad will be present.’

Targeting CM

Chautala has also termed CM Saini as a ‘cut kite’ regarding the seat. He said, ‘No one knows whether he will fall in Karnal, Ladwa or Narayangarh. I am surprised that the BJP, which is in power in Haryana and at the Centre for the last 10 years, does not have full faith in its own leaders.’ It is being said that Saini may contest from Ladwa. Currently, he is an MLA from Karnal seat.

Uchana Kalan seat

The special thing is that the Uchana Kalan seat, which comes under the Hisar Lok Sabha seat of Jind district, is dominated by Devi Lal’s Chautala family and Birendra Singh’s family. Birendra won this seat in 2005, 1996, 1991, 1982 and 1977 and his wife Prem Lata won in 2014. Dushyant Chautala’s father Om Prakash Chautala won from here in 2009 and Dushyant himself won in 2019.
