BMC team reached Dharavi to demolish the illegal part of the mosque, huge uproar; heavy police force deployed

The BMC team has arrived in Dharavi, Mumbai’s biggest slum area, to demolish an illegal part of a mosque. A large number of police personnel have been deployed for security purposes. After the team’s arrival, the atmosphere in the area has become tense. The Muslim community is protesting against the BMC’s action and raising slogans. A notice to demolish the illegal part of the mosque was already sent. According to information, no reply was given to the notice by any organization or mosque.

According to reports, a large number of people started gathering as soon as the BMC team arrived. After this, sloganeering started and some people started protesting by sitting on the road. After this, the BMC team called some people to the police station for talks. Some people reached the police station to talk.

This 25-year-old mosque is located on 90 feet road in Dharavi. The Muslim community says that this mosque is very old. Apart from this, there is a need for a prayer place after the ban on offering namaz on the streets. No one has any personal benefit from this mosque. The name of the mosque is Mehboob-e-Subaniya Mosque.
