Bomb threat in flight going from Delhi to Bangalore, landing was returned after take off – Hindustan News Hub

A bomb threat was received on an Akasa Air flight going from Delhi to Bangalore on Wednesday. Following standard safety protocols, the flight was immediately diverted back to IGI Airport, where it landed safely. The aircraft has been kept in a separate isolation bay. All necessary procedures are being followed to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. It is being told that the information about a bomb in the flight was received at 1.15 pm. A total of 184 people were on board the flight.

Delhi Police says that a security alert related to bomb threat was received in the Akasa Air plane going from Delhi to Bengaluru. Following standard safety protocols, the plane was immediately flown back to Delhi’s IGI Airport, where it landed safely. The aircraft has been kept in an isolation bay and all necessary procedures are being followed to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.

Giving information about the incident, Akasa Air spokesperson said, ‘Akasa Air flight QP 1335, flying from Delhi to Bengaluru on October 16, 2024 and carrying 174 passengers, 3 infants and 7 crew members, was… Security alert received. Akasa Air’s emergency response teams are monitoring the situation and have advised the pilot to approach Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport with utmost caution. The Captain is following all necessary emergency procedures for a safe landing in Delhi and the estimated time of arrival is approximately 14:00 hrs.’
