BY Vijayendra made Karnataka BJP state president
New Delhi: After the assembly elections held in Karnataka in the month of May, the central high command of the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken a big decision. BJP has handed over the responsibility of the state organization to BY Vijayendra Yediyurappa. Vijayendra is the son of former Chief Minister of the state BS Yediyurappa and is currently an MLA from Shikaripur Assembly seat. BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh issued an order letter regarding his appointment.
Appointment made with immediate effect
BJP’s national general secretary and BJP headquarters in-charge Arun Singh issued organizational appointment letter regarding changes in Karnataka BJP. Arun Singh said that BJP National President JP Nadda has appointed Vijayendra Yediyurappa as the State President of Karnataka BJP. This appointment will come into effect with immediate effect. Earlier, Nalin Kumar Kateel was handling the responsibility of State President. His departure was certain after the defeat in the assembly elections.
Party high command gave many messages
At the same time, the central high command of BJP has given many messages in the politics of the state with this appointment. He has given a crazy message to those leaders of his own party who were saying that Yeddyurappa’s influence in the state politics is over. The second message has been given to the opposition parties, who were calling sidelining Yeddyurappa an insult to the Lingayat community. Along with this, the party has also opened its cards for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The party has made it clear that it is not going away from the Yediyurappa family in the state.
Who is the new president BY Vijayendra?
Before becoming the new President of BJP Karnataka on Friday evening, Vijayendra has been the Vice President of Karnataka BJP since 2020. He is the son of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. BY Vijayendra’s full name is Bukanakere Yediyurappa Vijayendra. He has previously served as the General Secretary of the Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. After studying law, he worked as a lawyer for some time. He is also an MLA from Shikaripur Assembly seat of Karnataka.
