Madani’s big statement on bulldozer action

Commenting on the hearing of this case in the Supreme Court on Monday, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind president Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani, an important party in this case, said that bulldozers do not deliver justice, but kill justice. He said that the way bulldozers are used punishes an entire community, and when an accused’s house is demolished, not only he but his entire family suffers.

Maulana Madani said that you talk about the protection of women, you have demolished 1.5 lakh houses in a few years, the biggest losers are women, children and old people. Those who did nothing have to wander from door to door, what kind of justice have you established? We hope that the court will take strict action on this.

Madani said-everyone is troubled by the bulldozer action

Maulana Madani said that not only Muslims but every justice-loving section is upset by this. Maulana Madani said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind will struggle in every possible way for justice and will not sit silent at all. Hearing the petition number 295/2022 of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind on Monday, the Supreme Court has made it clear that the bulldozer system will not work for speedy justice. The Supreme Court said in its initial observations that no one has the right to run a bulldozer on the house of a criminal, let alone the accused. The Supreme Court said that it would not protect illegal constructions, but it is necessary to have some guiding principles.

The next hearing will be on September 17

A bench of Justices B R Gavai and K Vishwanathan, while hearing petitions filed against ‘bulldozer actions’ in various states, has directed both the parties to submit draft proposals by September 13 so that they can be presented before the court. These proposals will be collected by senior advocate Nachiketa Joshi, who has been asked to compile them and present them before the court. The bench has fixed September 17 as the next date for hearing the case.

Jamiat had filed a petition

On Monday, senior advocates Dushyant Dave and M R Shamshad appeared in the court on behalf of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind president Maulana Mahmood Asad Madni and petitioner Maulana Nayaz Ahmad Farooqui and Jamiat secretary, while Farukh Rashid is the advocate on record in the case. This case was filed by Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind against the bulldozer action in Jahangirpuri, Delhi, in which Jamiat had got great success at that time and the bulldozer was stopped, but Jamiat has taken the lead and filed a special petition against three states on the ongoing bulldozer action in the country.
