Bulldozer with pictures of PM Modi and CM Yogi seen in New Jersey parade

New Jersey Parade: Tension prevailed in Leicester, UK, after clashes between the Hindu-Muslim community a few days ago. From Leicester in Britain to New Jersey in America, people of Hindu and Muslim communities are protesting against each other. Reports of sabotage and clashes between the two communities are also coming to the fore from many places. Amidst all this, a bulldozer with pictures of Prime Minister Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath became part of a parade in New Jersey, America. Which was opposed by many organizations.

Following protests over a bulldozer carrying pictures of Prime Minister Modi and UP CM Yogi in the parade, the president of the Indian Business Association, the organizer of the parade, apologized to Indian-American minority groups locally and across the country, especially Muslims. He apologized to the people of the Muslim community and said that divisive symbols should never be included in any parade. Significantly, in India, bulldozers have been used as a symbol of crackdown on protesters, including in some high profile cases involving Muslim citizens.

Foreign Minister furious at American media

At the same time, External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar has criticized the US media for its biased coverage. The External Affairs Minister told a gathering of Indian-Americans from across the country that he watches the media. He said that about some newspapers you know what he is going to write. The External Affairs Minister said that I think the way facts are tilted, things are laid out. What is right and what is wrong is confusing. It’s really like involving politics at work.

That’s how the whole controversy started

Muslim and Hindu communities have lived together for decades in Leicester, UK, but now tensions are rising. Recently, a group of around 300 young masked men marched in a Muslim-dominated area and raised slogans. Reports said that the clashes between India and Pakistan cricket fans gradually turned into communal violence. The people of the Muslim community chased the marchers on Belgrave Road, which is a majority Hindu area. Outside a temple located there, one flag was torn down and another was burnt.
