Encouraged by his batting performance against New Zealand, Australia all-rounder Cameron Green wants to play an important role with both bat and ball in the five-Test series against India starting on November 22 at his home ground Perth. Australia is looking to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy for the first time since 2014-15. India has won the last four series. Meanwhile, it defeated Australia on its soil in 2018-19 and 2020-21. These two countries will play a five-Test series for the first time in the last three decades.
“Obviously at the moment I’m happy to contribute as much as I can. I’m in a really good position physically to do that,” Green told cricket.com.au.
The 25-year-old said, “Me and Mitch (Marsh) always joke about who will bowl those overs between the 70th and 80th overs when the ball is not doing anything. We are ready to play this role in the summer.”

Green said, “Right now I am in very good physical condition and I feel I can contribute in bowling. Right now I am happy to be a good all-rounder.” Green was sent to bat in the top order during the Test series against New Zealand in November and he took full advantage of it and scored an unbeaten 174 runs.
