Case closed against former minister and senior BJP leader Ranganath Mishra, ED filed final report

BSP government minister and senior BJP leader Rangnath Mishra has got a big relief from ED. ED has closed the ongoing investigation in the disproportionate assets case. After the comment of Lucknow High Court Bench, ED filed a final report in the case going on against Rangnath. Rangnath Mishra is now free from all charges. Let us tell you that in 2012, a case was registered against Rangnath Mishra in the disproportionate assets case. After this, Rangnath Mishra challenged it in the court.

In September 2021, the court acquitted him of all the charges, even after this the ED continued its investigation. On the basis of the vigilance report, in 2020, the ED seized property worth more than Rs 5 crore of Ranganath Mishra.

Ranganath Mishra again sought refuge in the court regarding this. In 2022, the Allahabad High Court gave interim relief to Ranganath Mishra in the disproportionate assets case and gave a stay on the ED action against him. In May 23, the Lucknow High Court again gave a stay and asked the ED to file a counter, on which the counter was not filed by the ED for a long time. After this, the ED sought permission from the court to file a closure report, which was accepted by the court. After this, the ED closed the ongoing case against Ranganath Mishra and acquitted him of all the charges by filing a closure report.
