CBI made a big disclosure in Kolkata case, doctor was not gang-raped; only one criminal

CBI has made a new revelation in the case of murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. The investigation so far by the central investigating agency has revealed that the doctor was not gang-raped. According to CBI, a person named Sanjay Roy is involved in the rape and murder of the doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Let us tell you that on August 13, the responsibility of investigating this case was handed over to CBI.

India Today quoted sources as saying that the forensic report also stated that the doctor was raped and murdered by a man named Sanjay Roy. He was attached to the Kolkata Police. The DNA report has also confirmed his involvement.

Sanjay Roy was arrested on August 10. Just a day before this, the half-naked body of the doctor was found in the seminar hall of the hospital. Apart from this, the CBI has also examined the CCTV footage in which he is seen entering the building where the doctor was murdered.

The accused has a history of domestic violence. Despite this, he had access to all departments of the hospital. He was arrested after his Bluetooth headset was recovered from the crime scene.

Let us tell you that the CBI has not completed its investigation into the involvement of more people in this case. The agency is likely to send the forensic report to independent experts to get their final opinion. Earlier, a doctor had claimed that the victim may have been gang-raped. Dr. Suvarna Goswami had told India Today that the nature of injuries sustained by the trainee doctor cannot be the work of a single person.

The victim’s parents also raised this argument before the Calcutta High Court, alleging the presence of large amounts of semen in her body, which indicated gang rape.
