Center’s big achievement: made 500 rules easy and earned 250 crores by selling junk through cleaning campaign

New Delhi. The central government has simplified about 500 rules and procedures to ensure ‘ease of living’. Along with this, revenue of more than Rs 250 crore has been obtained by selling junk under the ongoing cleanliness campaign in the country. Senior bureaucrat V Srinivas said on Friday that about three lakh public grievances were resolved under the campaign.

Srinivas, Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances ‘DARPG’ said, ‘Out of these 4500 public grievances were related to prisoners. This campaign is huge and comprehensive. Srinivas told the news agency, ‘The government has simplified about 500 rules and procedures for ease of living. Every step has benefited lakhs of citizens of India.

He informed that Special Campaign 2.0 is being run from October 2 to October 31, 2022 in remote offices, missions abroad, attached and subordinate offices to the central government along with other organizations. Srinivas, a 1989 batch IAS officer of the Indian Administrative Service, and a Rajasthan cadre officer, said that cleanliness drives have been carried out at 61,532 places and an amount of Rs 252.25 crore has been earned from the disposal of junk. With this 34.69 lakh square feet area was cleared. This is a remarkable achievement in the completed three weeks of the campaign.

He said that Special Operation 2.0 has been carried out on a large scale and level in the last three weeks and thousands of officers and citizens have participated in it. They have come together for the ‘Cleanliness’ movement in the government office.
