CM Champai Soren reached Delhi to persuade Congress MLAs

After the cabinet expansion in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Champai Soren’s government is in trouble. 12 Congress MLAs are angry over not getting ministerial posts in the cabinet expansion. Of these, 8 angry MLAs have reached Delhi, including Anup Singh, Deepika Pandey, Amba Prasad, Rajesh Kashyap, Naman Vixal Kongadi, Uma Shankar Akela, Irfan Ansari and Sona Ram Sinku. In such a situation, now Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren has also reached Delhi late on Saturday evening. Have come to Delhi in an attempt to pacify the angry Congress MLAs. The Chief Minister is currently in Jharkhand Bhawan. The Chief Minister can meet Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge today i.e. on Sunday.

Out of 12 angry MLAs, 8 reached Delhi

In fact, angry over the inclusion of four Congress MLAs in Chief Minister Champai Soren’s government in Jharkhand, 8 out of 12 MLAs of the party reached Delhi on Saturday evening. Congress MLA Kumar Jaimangal alias Anup Singh said, “We have reached Delhi. The rest will reach on Sunday. We will discuss with the Congress leadership. We want to change the four ministers made from the party’s quota. MLA Pradeep Yadav and four ministers made Apart from the MLAs, all the remaining 12 MLAs are together.” The MLA from Bermo said that Congress has 17 MLAs and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has 29 MLAs. “JMM has already taken the post of Chief Minister and Assembly Speaker. They have six ministerial posts and we want the remaining one post. We will not compromise on that,” Jaimangal demanded.

No confusion, all united: Basant Soren

MLAs unhappy with the Congress’s decision to again give ministerial posts to Alamgir Alam, Rameshwar Oraon, Banna Gupta and Badal Patralekh first gathered at a hotel in Ranchi. To convince him, Basant Soren, the youngest son of ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) supremo Shibu Soren and who was made a minister on Friday, arrived. After meeting the MLAs, Basant Soren said, “There is no confusion. We are all united.” Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren and Congress state unit president Rajesh Thakur have already reached Delhi. Both will meet All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge. At least 12 Congress MLAs have threatened to boycott the upcoming assembly session to be held from February 23 if the party’s quota of ministerial leaders are not replaced. The JMM-led alliance has 47 MLAs (29 from JMM, 17 from Congress and one from RJD) in the 81-member assembly.
