Former Chief Minister Champai Soren has said that he will not retire from politics. It is necessary to stay in politics to complete unfinished tasks. In view of the love and request of the people of Jharkhand, he has abandoned his earlier decision to retire from politics. Late on Tuesday night, Minister Champai Soren reached Kolkata by air from Delhi and then reached his residence in Jilinggoda under Gamharia block of Seraikela district by road.
Supporters and workers remained present till late night to welcome him at his residence. On reaching the residence, Minister Champai Soren spoke to journalists. During this, Minister Champai Soren said that after leaving the Chief Minister’s chair, he had clarified his position on July 3 itself, which he still stands by. The administration had to make every effort to control the crowd of workers gathered at his Jilinggoda residence since Wednesday morning.
During this, while addressing the workers at Jilinggoda ground, Champai said, ‘I had three options in which retiring from politics is not possible. I have to remain in active politics on the request of the people and workers of the state.’ He said that now he has two options, either to move forward with a partner (party) or to form a new organization and serve the people. Champai again said that he has been insulted badly, which is difficult to express. After leaving his residence, Champai Soren also went to the office located at Mahuldih, where the workers welcomed him enthusiastically.
There is speculation about Champai Soren joining the Bharatiya Janata Party as well. However, he has neither accepted nor denied it. BJP leaders are also wooing Champai by praising him. Now it will be interesting to see which direction Champai’s politics takes before the assembly elections. Champai, who was made the Chief Minister after Hemant Soren’s arrest, says that Hemant Soren humiliated him after his release and removed him from the post.
