Patna. A member of the gang who cheated in the name of reinstatement in the army by becoming a fake army colonel has been arrested from Danapur. Army Intelligence Unit and Danapur Police jointly raided and arrested the army recruitment tout from Danapur bus stand. The name of the arrested youth is Ravi Kumar alias Dharmendra, from whom the original certificates of more than half a dozen youths including matriculation, inter and others have been recovered. The main kingpin Sonu is absconding.
Please inform that SI Mukesh Kumar of Danapur police said that the police arrested three touts – Shami Raj, Satish Kumar alias Sunny and Ranjan Kumar from near the military hospital on February 14 and sent them to jail. The Army Intelligence Unit and the police have started investigating the arrested army brokers by linking them with the local army brokers.
According to the police, this gang was active for a long time and used to target youths appearing for army exams in Danapur. In the name of getting the candidates to pass the examination, the gang members used to keep the certificates and documents of the students and in lieu of that money was demanded. When this matter came to light on February 14, Army Intelligence took it seriously and after that arrested a person in collaboration with the police in this matter.
