New Delhi: Supreme Court Chief Justice DY Chandrachud has strongly reprimanded SBI in the electoral bond case. CJI told the bank that everything related to electoral bonds will have to be told. SBI Chairman will have to give an affidavit stating that he has not hidden anything.

The Supreme Court directed the SBI Chairman to file an affidavit by 5 pm on Thursday. Regarding the affidavit, it has been said that SBI should disclose all the details of the electoral bonds which are subject to them, no details should be hidden in it. The Supreme Court said that the Election Commission will upload the details on its website immediately on receipt of information from SBI. At the same time, SBI said that it is being defamed.

SBI reprimanded

Earlier today, the Supreme Court rapped State Bank of India (SBI) for not disclosing all details related to electoral bonds. The bank has been asked to submit all details related to the bond by 5 pm on March 21. The Supreme Court pulled up SBI for not disclosing the electoral bond numbers earlier and thus not fully complying with its previous decision. The top court clearly said that the electoral bond number, which links donors to recipients, should be disclosed by the bank.
