Alert of heavy rain in these states of the country today

New Delhi: The weather patterns are changing in many states of the country including Delhi-NCR. It is becoming hot during the day and cold at night. A slight cold is being felt in the morning. At the same time, rainy season continues in the states of South India. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, North Interior Karnataka and Karaikal on October 18, 20 and 20.

Chance of rain in Odisha on 23-25 ​​October



The weather department has predicted rain in Odisha from October 23-25 ​​due to the influence of the low pressure area over central Bay of Bengal. IMD Bhubaneswar Director Manorama Mohanty said that a fresh upper air cyclone is likely to form over the North Andaman Sea around October 20. Due to its effect, there may be rainfall activities in Odisha on 23, 24 and 25 October.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at some places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal region from Friday to Sunday. Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Vellore, Tirupattur, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem and Erode districts on Friday. Additionally, heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over the Ghat areas of Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts. Ranipet, Vellore, Tirupattur, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Tiruchirappalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Pudukkottai, Ariyalur and Perambalur districts may receive heavy rain on Sunday.

The IMD has also issued an alert of heavy rainfall at isolated places in the ghat areas of Coimbatore and Tirupur districts. Ranipet, Vellore, Tirupattur, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Tiruchirappalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Pudukkottai, Ariyalur and Perambalur may receive rain on Monday. The maximum temperature is likely to be 33-34°C and the minimum temperature is likely to be 25-26°C.

Delhi weather

Delhi is facing poor air quality for the fifth consecutive day on Friday. Pollution levels were recorded above 300 in Ashok Vihar, Dwarka Sector 8, Patparganj, Punjabi Bagh, Rohini, Bawana, Burari, Jahangirpuri, Mundka, Narela, Okhla Phase 2, Shadipur and Vivek Vihar. The weather department has predicted clear skies on Friday and the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 35 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius respectively.
