The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee issued a letter saying that the party’s Disciplinary Action Committee has expelled former United Andhra Pradesh Minister Mary Shashidhar Reddy from the Congress party for 6 years for anti-party activities. Congress took this action on him when he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. It is being said that he may soon join BJP.

Reddy was not happy with the party leaders

It is also being said that Shashidhar took the decision to join BJP after being unhappy with the leaders of the Congress party in the state. Party sources said that Shashidhar Reddy was unhappy with the state party leadership and was openly opposing the way TPCC president A Revanth Reddy treated senior leaders.

There were reports that Reddy had gone to Delhi along with BJP National Vice President DK Aruna and met Amit Shah. He said that traveling together should not be seen as a change of party. He had said that he had gone to Delhi to attend his grandson’s school function.
