New Delhi: The alertness and prudence of a loco pilot averted a major rail accident. This incident took place between Bilaspur Road and Rudrapur City in Uttarakhand. Actually, on the night of 18 September, train number 12091 was going from Bilaspur Road to Rudrapur. It was around 10 pm. The train was moving towards its destination at its speed. Meanwhile, the loco pilot saw something kept on the track. The loco pilot stopped the train by applying emergency brakes. At 10:18 pm, the loco pilot informed the station master/Rudrapur City that he found a 6 meter long iron pole on the track at km 43/10-11 between Bilaspur Road and Rudrapur City.
GRP arrested 3 suspects
After stopping the train, the loco pilot removed the old telecom pole placed on the track and then sent the train safely from there. According to the information received from Northern Railway, after registering an FIR in this case, RPF has started investigating whether this was a conspiracy to derail the train. In this case, GRP has arrested 3 suspects, who are being interrogated. The pole that was placed on the railway track has 43-10 written on it in white paint.

Let us tell you that in recent times, many such incidents have come to light when a conspiracy has been hatched to damage trains by placing different kinds of things on the tracks. In recent times, such incidents have come to light in Kanpur and Ajmer, after which the railway administration and security agencies are on alert mode. At some places, iron pieces were placed on the tracks and at other places, attempts were made to damage trains by placing stones.
