New Delhi. Corona cases are increasing rapidly in many states including the country’s capital Delhi. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, the number of Kovid-19 (COVID-19) infected patients has been recorded in India today at 2,994 while the number of active cases has increased to 16,354. In the last 24 hours, 9 patients have also died. After this, the number of deaths so far has increased to 5,30,876. Now the figure of overall infected patients in India has gone up to 4.47 crore (4,47,18,781). Figures till 8 am on Saturday have been released by the Ministry of Health.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, two deaths each were reported from Delhi, Karnataka and Punjab, one from Gujarat and two from Kerala. In the last 24 hours, 9 deaths have been recorded in different states. With the total number of active cases being 16,354, the infection rate has gone up to 0.04 percent.

And the recovery rate at the national level is 98.77 percent. The daily positivity rate has been recorded at 2.09 percent and the weekly positivity rate at 2.03 percent. The overall figure of corona infected patients is 4,41,71,551. And the death rate is 1.19 percent. According to the ministry’s website, 220.66 crore doses of Kovid-19 vaccine have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
Let us tell that on Friday also the figure of coronavirus infected patients was recorded around 3,000. After this, the Central Government also came in full alert mode. The central government is keeping a special focus on 5-6 states where the daily cases of Kovid-19 are increasing rapidly. Special advisory has also been issued to these states by the Central Government.
These include especially the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The Union Health Ministry has also admitted that more cases of XBB.1.16, a sub-variant of the Omicron variant of the Coronavirus Spike, are coming to the fore.
