New Delhi: In the festive season in India, Corona has once again started scaring. After two consecutive days of reduction, there has been a big increase in the cases of corona virus. There have been more than 2200 new infection cases in the country today i.e. on Friday. But it is a matter of relief that the number of active cases has come down to 20 thousand. According to the Corona data released by the Ministry of Health, the total number of Kovid cases has increased to 4,46,49,088 due to the receipt of 2208 new cases of corona virus in the country in the last 24 hours.
According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday morning, the number of patients under treatment in India has come down from 21,607 to 19,398. At the same time, the death toll has increased to 5,28,999 due to the death of 12 more people due to infection. In these 12 cases, nine dead are also included, whose names have been added to the list of patients who lost their lives due to the global epidemic, re-matching the death toll due to infection.
According to the data, the number of patients under treatment for corona virus infection in the country has come down to 19,398, which is 0.04 percent of the total cases. In the last 24 hours, there has been a decrease in the number of patients under treatment by 1,423. At the same time, the national rate of recovery of patients has increased to 98.77 percent. According to the data, the daily infection rate is 1.55 percent, while the weekly infection rate is 1.12 percent. So far, a total of 4,41,00,691 people have become infection free in the country, while the death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.18 percent. At the same time, 219.60 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of corona virus infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020, 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On December 19, 2020, these cases had exceeded one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it had crossed 30 million. On January 25 this year, the total cases of infection had crossed four crores.
