Corona speed up in Delhi, more than 400 new cases in 24 hours, infection rate crossed 14%

New Delhi. The pace of new cases of Coronavirus in Delhi is continuously increasing. More than 400 new cases of corona virus have been reported in the national capital on Saturday. After this, the infection rate of corona virus cases has increased beyond 14 percent. Out of 2895 tests conducted in Delhi during the last 24 hours, 416 cases have been found positive. While the infection rate has gone up to 14.37%. One patient has died during the last 24 hours, although according to the health bulletin, the cause of death is not corona.

In view of the increasing cases in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also held a meeting on Friday. Kejriwal said after the meeting that the Delhi government is monitoring the rise in COVID-19 cases and is “ready to deal with any kind of situation”. Kejriwal said that three patients have died due to infection in the last four-five days and these people were already suffering from some “very serious” disease. He said that it has been found in the assessment that the infected people died due to other serious diseases and the main reason for their death was not Kovid, but nothing can be said about this.

Kejriwal, after chairing a review meeting on the Covid-related situation, said there was no need to worry as of now and the city government was taking all necessary steps. After August 31 last year in Delhi, the maximum number of 300 cases were reported in a single day on Wednesday and two people died. The infection rate was recorded at 13.89 percent.

For the last few months, there was a decrease in the cases of corona virus in Delhi and this happened for the first time on January 16 after the spread of corona virus infection, when not a single new case of infection was reported in the national capital.

About 3 thousand new cases came in the country
On the other hand, if we talk about the whole country, according to the data released at 8 am, 2,994 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in India in the last 24 hours, while the number of patients under treatment increased to 16,354.

According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at eight o’clock on Saturday morning, the number of people infected with Kovid-19 in the country has increased to 4,47,18,781. At the same time, due to the loss of nine more lives due to infection, the total number of dead has increased to 5,30,876.

According to statistics, two patients each died in Delhi, Karnataka and Punjab, while one patient died in Gujarat due to coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours in India. Apart from this, two more cases have been added to the list of the dead after Kerala reconciled the figures of patients who lost their lives to Kovid-19.
