Mumbai. Darius Pandole, a co-passenger who survived the car accident of former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry last month, was discharged from a private hospital here on Friday. A hospital official said Dr. Anahita Pandole, wife of Darius, who was driving the car at the time of the accident, is recovering and will be discharged soon.
Both were admitted to the hospital on 5 September. Cyrus Mistry was killed in a car accident. Darius Pandole underwent elbow surgery and a ‘maxo facial’ surgery was also done. The hospital said in a statement that he was also suffering from infection due to the severity of his injuries.

The hospital’s CEO Dr. Tarang Gyanchandani said that the injuries were very complex, so the best team of doctors from various departments is involved in treating the Pandole couple. He said, ‘Advice was sought from experts from all over the world for their best treatment and this has helped us to get the result.’

Mistry and his friend Jehangir Pandole were killed on September 4 when their car Maharashtra It collided with a road divider in Palghar district of K. Two other persons in the car – Anahita and her husband Darius Pandole – were seriously injured.
