Delhi: Delivery boy arrested for attacking police post, burning bike, know the whole case

New Delhi. On Sunday, a youth was arrested for setting fire to the police post of Asia’s most expensive and posh Khan Market in Delhi by pouring petrol. Police officials said on Tuesday that the accused youth was identified with the help of CCTV cameras. A case was registered in this regard by the Tughlaq Road police station of New Delhi district. This youth is alleged to have attacked the police post, broke the glass of three windows by pelting stones, poured petrol and burnt the main gate and also burnt his own bike inside the post. The policemen could not catch him, so he pelted stones at them.

The police officer said that the accused youth is Mohammad Nadeem, who is a resident of Hauzrani area. He works as a delivery boy. He had come to Khan Market on Saturday and had to take delivery from some of the restaurants here. Then a couple came out of the restaurant. The couple had made a verbal complaint at the outpost that the delivery boy, Mohammad Nadeem, was staring at the woman. Although no case was registered on this, but a police personnel beat up the delivery boy. On the next morning, Mohammad Nadeem again reached Khan Market and attacked the post. He also set his bike on fire. Due to this uproar, a crowd of people had gathered.

Confessed crime, was angry with the police

The police officer told PTI that Nadeem has some domestic problems as well. If the matter of breaking his marriage has also come to the fore, then he was also troubled by the lack of money. In such a situation, when he was beaten up by the police personnel, he had reached to take revenge. He was under the influence of alcohol and has confessed to his crime. The police had arrested him from Khan Market on Sunday afternoon. The video of Mohammad Nadeem pelting stones at a police post, setting his own vehicle on fire has become increasingly viral.
