Delhi-NCR’s air worsens, pollution level increases, heavy rain alert in 7 states – Hindustan News Hub

Pollution level increased in Delhi-NCR

New Delhi: Pollution levels are continuously increasing in Delhi-NCR. Fog was seen at many places in NCR this morning. The pollution level in Delhi and Noida was recorded in ‘poor’ category for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday. The overall air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 207, Noida 213 and Ghaziabad 246 at 6.34 am on Thursday. Apart from this, AQI 192 was recorded in Sonipat, AQI 182 in Faridabad, which is considered in the moderate pollution category.

Pollution level reached very bad category

According to the latest information, Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 321 in Wazirpur and Shalimar Bagh of Delhi, 332 in Jahangirpuri, 307 in Shadipur of West Delhi, 314 in Patparganj. Which is considered in very bad category. Apart from this, AQI 195 was recorded in Mayur Vihar and Sector-1 of Noida and AQI 294 was recorded in Anand Vihar and Sahibabad.

Let us tell you that AQI between zero and 50 is good, AQI between 51 and 100 is satisfactory, AQI between 101 and 200 is moderate, AQI between 201 and 300 is poor, AQI between 301 and 400 is very poor and 401 and above. An AQI between 500 is considered severe.

How will the weather be in Delhi?

The Meteorological Department has predicted clear sky in Delhi-NCR on Thursday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius respectively. It was cloudy at many places on Wednesday.

Warning of heavy rain in these states

According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours, heavy rains occurred in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, West Madhya Pradesh, South Gujarat region, Konkan, Karaikal and Rayalaseema. There is a possibility of heavy rain in these places even today. Heavy rain may occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal-Chennai, Rayalaseema, Tiruvallur, Chittoor and Cuddapah, Nellore districts even today. A warning of torrential rain has been issued in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. Let us tell you that monsoon has bid farewell to most of the states of the country. However, the rainy season is still continuing in Northeast and South India.
