Delhi Weather: The spell of rain in Delhi is not stopping. Delhi-NCR, which is constantly getting wet, is now feeling cold due to rain. Heavy rain occurred in various parts of the capital on Friday morning and afternoon. Due to which waterlogging occurred and people had to face traffic jams. According to the data shared by the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Friday, Safdarjung Meteorological Center recorded 29.6 mm of rainfall, while Ridge Station recorded 69.4 mm, Delhi University 56.5 mm, Lodhi Road 28.2 mm, Aya Nagar 19.5 mm and Palam 18 mm of rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, moderate to heavy rains may occur in different areas of Delhi-NCR on Saturday as well. According to the department, heavy rains in the capital are due to the pressure approaching the region – which will weaken and turn into a low pressure area by Friday afternoon. That means the spell of heavy rains may come to a halt.

Seven-day forecast

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rain in Delhi on Saturday. The rain will stop from Sunday. The sky will be clear on Sunday and light clouds can be seen. The next week will also start with light clouds. There will be clear sky on Monday and Tuesday. Rain will return from Wednesday. There will be thunder in the capital on Thursday as well. After this, there is a possibility of clear sky again on Friday.

Delhi breathed the cleanest air

Monsoon is very kind to Delhi-NCR. In just thirteen days of September, the capital got its quota of rain for the entire month. Due to continuous rain, people of Delhi, Ghaziabad and Faridabad got the cleanest air of this year on Friday. This was the second cleanest day in Noida and Gurugram.
