Delhi Weather: Humidity and heat have increased problems in Delhi NCR areas, but people are going to get relief soon. If the weather department is to be believed, the weather will start changing in the national capital Delhi from Wednesday. IMD has predicted light drizzle or showers in Delhi and NCR areas on Wednesday. Not only this, after this, heavy rains along with strong winds are also expected in Delhi NCR areas on Thursday and Friday.
According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon is retreating from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana and some other parts. Meanwhile, another system is strengthening in the central Bay of Bengal. A low pressure area has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal adjoining the west central Bay of Bengal and the North Andhra-South Odisha coasts. This is likely to cause heavy rains in the surrounding plains. Other weather systems will also be affected by this seasonal system.
According to the report of Skymet Weather, a private weather forecasting agency, the monsoon trough will shift southwards from its usual position due to a low pressure weather system over the Bay. It will be far south of Delhi but the flow of easterly winds will prove helpful in reducing the temperature. Also, the maximum temperature will decrease due to rain. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the maximum temperature in Delhi may drop to 31 degrees Celsius on September 27.
According to the weather department, movement of clouds will be seen in Delhi NCR areas on Wednesday. Not only this, sporadic very light rain or drizzle can be seen. On 26 September i.e. Thursday, Delhi NCR areas will remain cloudy and light rain with thunder and lightning can be seen. During this time the wind speed will be 25 to 35 kilometers per hour. The weather will remain bad in Delhi NCR even on 27 September i.e. Friday.
According to the Meteorological Department, on Friday, Delhi NCR areas will witness light rain with thunder and winds of 25 to 35 kmph. This will make the weather pleasant and people will get relief from the humid heat. IMD estimates that due to this change in weather, the maximum temperature in Delhi will decrease to around 31-32 degrees Celsius on 27 and 28 September. Drizzle can also be seen in Delhi NCR areas on 28 September. An increase in temperature will be seen from 29 September.
