Demanded Rs 1 lakh from mother, brothers helped her escape from Bengaluru to Bhadrak; New revelations in Mahalaxmi murder case

The police investigating the brutal murder of Mahalaxmi in Bengaluru have made some new revelations. It has also been ascertained how the accused Mukti Ranjan Roy reached Bhadrak in Odisha after cutting the woman’s body into 59 pieces. According to the report, Mukti talked to her two younger brothers about the massacre and they helped her escape from there. Younger brother Smruti Ranjan worked in Hebbagodi, Bengaluru, and gave Mukti a two-wheeler to skip the city. The second brother, Satya Ranjan Roy, lived in Behrampur, when the accused reached there, he arranged for him to stay at his place for 9 days.

Sources associated with the police said that the brothers did not file a report regarding the murder of Mahalakshmi. It is possible that Mukti has forbidden him from talking about this to the police or any other family member. For this he may have used his position as elder brother. Smriti Ranjan has been detained by Bengaluru Police. Youngest brother Satya has been interrogated by Odisha and Bengaluru police. During this time it was revealed that Mukti had planned to buy a car to drive a taxi in Bengaluru. For this he had also asked for money from his mother and brothers. Satya said, ‘We are from a very poor family. We don’t have that much money. He asked us for Rs 1 lakh, but we could not give it. He wanted to go away from Mahalakshmi.

The body was cut into 59 pieces and kept in the refrigerator.
