Lucknow, Dengue fever is spreading rapidly in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. More than 300 dengue patients are admitted in different hospitals of Lucknow. From the administration to the municipal corporation, it is working on a war footing for the prevention of dengue. Patients suffering from dengue are coming from Civil Hospital to Balrampur Hospital and King George Medical College for treatment. People are so scared of dengue that they are buying medicines ranging from mosquito nets to mosquito repellents.
Due to the outbreak of dengue, people are buying goat’s milk by paying Rs.1500 to Rs.2000 per litre. To provide relief to dengue patients, the Lokbandhu Hospital at Ashiana in Alambagh has been declared as a dedicated dengue hospital by the government. Here patients will get 24-hour check-up and treatment facilities. Its nodal officer has been made Dr. Ajay Shankar Tripathi, Medical Superintendent of the hospital.
100 beds reserved for dengue patients
Medical Superintendent of Lokbandhu Hospital Dr. Ajay Shankar Tripathi told that 100 beds have been reserved for dengue patients here. Along with this, the duty of 16 doctors has also been fixed, who will be present in the hospital for 24 hours and if any dengue patient comes here at any time, they will examine and treat him. Patients will get all facilities in Lokbandhu Hospital and they will be admitted and treated with immediate effect.
Dr. Ajay Shankar Tripathi said that efforts were being made for a long time to establish a blood bank in Lokbandhu Hospital. Finally, the approval of one crore 13 lakh 56 thousand 360 rupees has been received from the government for the establishment of a new blood bank. After this, the work of establishing the blood bank will be started soon. In the coming times, patients will not have to worry about needing blood here, they will get better facilities.
