Nainital, Offerings can now be made digitally in the famous Maa Naina Devi temple of Nainital, Uttarakhand. For this, QR codes have been put in the donation boxes on behalf of the Nayana Devi temple management. By scanning these QR codes, donations can be made to this temple through online medium.
Nainital’s Maa Naina Devi Temple is famous all over the world. Every year lakhs of devotees reach here from far and wide to see the goddess. Since India has moved ahead on the path of digitalization, the temples here have also started becoming digital. Keeping this in mind, the system of online offerings has been implemented by the temple management.
Suresh Malkani, a member of the Nayana Devi Temple Committee, told that many times devotees come to the temple with reverence, but many times they do not have cash or cash, due to which they are unable to make offerings here. In view of this, QR code has been put on 10 donation containers here. In this, devotees can scan their phone’s payment apps such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and other payment gateways and make offerings. This will be of great convenience to the people, especially the tourists.
At the same time, devotees coming to Nainital have expressed happiness over this new arrangement. Devotee Mohan Singh, who came from Uttar Pradesh, said that he has donated in a digital way. Many times there is no open money or there is a problem of cash, so now the devotees coming here will not have any problem and they will be able to donate to the temple according to their reverence.
