Diamonds worth crores found in the house of a retired IAS officer, Noida was very popular during BSP government

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team carried out a massive raid on Wednesday at the Meerut-based owner of Sharda Exports, people associated with him and a retired IAS officer who was involved in his schemes. During this, the team recovered diamonds worth Rs 12 crore from the house of two people.

This raid was conducted in Chandigarh at the residence of five people including retired IAS officer Mohinder Singh from UP and businessman Aditya Gupta from Meerut. Diamonds worth Rs 7 crore were recovered from Mohinder Singh’s house and diamonds worth Rs 5 crore were recovered from the businessman’s house. Apart from this, gold worth Rs 7 crore, cash and many suspicious documents were also recovered in this operation. Both ED teams returned to Lucknow on Wednesday afternoon after completing the operation. It is also being said that one team has gone to Delhi. ED officials did not say much about this.

According to ED sources, raids were conducted on Tuesday at the residences of people associated with the Sharda Export Group in Meerut, Delhi, Chandigarh and Goa. Important information was obtained from the documents found during this raid. After this, two ED teams raided the Chandigarh residence of Mohinder Singh, who was the CEO of Noida in 2011, in the early hours of Wednesday. No one had any inkling of this raid.

Jewellery and documents worth Rs 7 crore were also seized

ED officials said that in this entire operation, gold and other jewellery worth Rs 7 crores were recovered from three houses. Apart from this, many such documents were found in the cupboards, about which these people could not answer. All these documents have also been seized. Apart from laptops and computers, ED officials have also seized five mobile phones from the spot.

Diamonds worth Rs 5 crore recovered from Ashish Gupta and his brother’s house

ED also raided the house of businessman Ashish Gupta and his brother Aditya Gupta, who were associated with Meerut-based Sharda Export. During this operation, diamonds worth Rs 5 crore were found in Aditya’s house. The businessman could not give a satisfactory answer about these diamonds. ED searched every corner of the house for about five hours.

Investigation continues in cases related to Mohinder Singh

ED raided the premises of Sharda Export Company for the second day on Wednesday. ED raided the house of retired IAS Mohinder Singh living in Chandigarh and recovered diamonds worth Rs. 7 crore. This is the same Mohinder Singh who has been the CEO and Chairman of Noida-Greater Noida Authority. Many cases related to his tenure in Noida are under investigation.

BSP used to have a say in the rule

During his tenure in BSP regime, he was very influential in Noida-Greater Noida Authority. For five years, Mohinder Singh held both the posts of CEO and Chairman in Noida-Greater Noida Authority. A vigilance case has been registered against him in Supertech’s twin tower case. Group housing plots were allotted to builders in Noida-Greater Noida by flouting the rules. The construction of Dalit Prerna Sthal was in the news during that time. It is said that Mohinder Singh used to visit the site in the dark of night to see the progress of the work.

The company has not done anything wrong: Sharda Export Group

Jitendra Gupta, proprietor of Sharda Export Group, said that the ED team came to investigate. Full cooperation was given in the investigation. I cannot tell on which points the investigation was done. My company has never done anything wrong.
