According to the information, the hearing on the anticipatory bail of dismissed trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar was postponed today in the Delhi High Court. The High Court gave time to Delhi Police to file a fresh status report. The next hearing of the case will be on September 5. In the last hearing, Delhi Police opposed Pooja’s anticipatory bail plea. Delhi Police said that there are serious allegations of cheating and fraud against Pooja. The case is related to the misuse of reserved categories in civil services.
The High Court had earlier also given relief
The Delhi High Court had directed the investigating agency not to arrest Pooja as long as the case is sub judice as her immediate arrest is not deemed necessary. Hearing the case, Justice Subramaniam Prasad of the Delhi High Court deferred the hearing on Pooja Khedkar’s anticipatory bail plea till August 29, 2024. The adjournment happened due to the Delhi Police’s reply not being filed on record yet.

In the last hearing, the Delhi High Court had issued notice to the Delhi Police and the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on the anticipatory bail plea of ​​suspended IAS officer Pooja Khedkar. The court had earlier observed that the trial court order denying bail to Pooja Khedkar lacked sufficient discussion, with only a brief mention of the public prosecutor’s claim about the involvement of others. The High Court has directed the police not to arrest Khedkar pending further proceedings.
