1. Fourth Bangladesh Film Festival from today in Kolkata

The fourth edition of Bangladesh Film Festival will be held in Kolkata, West Bengal from today. Bangladesh’s Deputy High Commissioner Andlieb Ilyas said 37 films and documentaries from his country would be screened in the five-day film festival. The festival will continue till November 2. Ilyas said that this will be our fourth year to organize Bangladesh Film Festival in Kolkata. We have received good response in previous versions. Around 37 films will be shown this year.

The festival will start from today and end on November 2. Bangladesh’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Hassan Mahmood will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony at Rabindra Sadan today. West Bengal’s Information Technology (IT) Minister Babul Supriyo and noted filmmaker Goutam Ghosh will also be present at the event.

2. Two-day Anjas Festival in Jodhpur from today

A two-day ‘Anjas Mahotsav’ will be organized from today at Garh-Govind in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan. According to the statement issued by the organizers, there will be different literary events, academic sessions and cultural programs in this first edition of the festival. More than a hundred speakers related to the field of music and art will participate in this festival, including Arjun Dev Charan, Aidan Singh Bhati, Ramswaroop Kisan, Nand Bharadwaj, Sharda Krishna, Ila Arun, Ravi Jhankal, Shailesh Lodha, Mame Khan, Rahgir, Anwar Khan, Mir Mukhtiar Ali, Nathulal Solanki, Mahesharam, Bina Kak etc. are included.

Among the sessions included in this festival are Nuvi Kavita Re Hemani, for discussion on two important magazine issues of the modern poetry journey of Rajasthani along with ‘Mayad Bhasa Rai Pakh Mein’, a session focused on National Education Policy and Mother Tongue. Talking about the bright literature and prosperity of Rajasthani language, there will also be a conversation on the history of Rajasthani language in the session ‘Motyan Su Moongi Ghanmithi Aa Rajasthani Bhasa Hai’.

3. Five Day International Dance-Music Festival in Gwalior

A five-day international dance and music festival ‘Udbhav Utsav-2022’ is starting from today in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Keshav Pandey, President of Udvad Cultural and Sports Institute (USEKS), informed that Taiwan’s Ambassador to India, Boshun Ger will inaugurate the festival. More than a thousand participants will participate in the festival, including 350 artists from Taiwan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka.

He said that USEKS and Greenwood Public School are jointly organizing the event and Taiwan is the partner country for the show. Pandey said dance and music troupes from Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Maharashtra, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will participate in the festival.
