Doctor Ishtiyak was giving training to use AK-47, full story of Rajasthan’s ‘terror camp’

Six suspects of the terrorist module Al Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) were sent from Ranchi to Bhiwadi in Rajasthan to receive arms training. They were being trained on the instructions of radiologist Dr. Ishtiaq, the kingpin of the terrorist module. Officials said that the suspects were being trained in Bhiwadi to use hand grenades, INSAS rifles, AK-47 and to blast IEDs. This disclosure was made by the police after interrogating the six arrested accused.

A training camp was set up in Rajasthan

The special branch of Delhi Police has recovered a huge amount of weapons and dummies of various types of weapons from the Bhiwadi training camp of the terrorist module. All the six suspects arrested are residents of Pakrio and Mandar of Chanho in Ranchi. The police confronted the accused arrested while taking training in handling weapons in Bhiwadi with Dr. Ishtiaq. It came to light that all the recruitments were done on the instructions of Ishtiaq. At the same time, the responsibility of providing weapons for training was done by a very close person of Ishtiaq. The suspects revealed during interrogation that their training was to last for a week, but they were caught on the third day itself.

Terrorists were caught during training

After this, the strategy for the future was to be worked out. However, they were not aware of where to go after the training, whom to be in touch with, who would provide them with food and weapons. The suspects also told that they had reached the training camp on Tuesday and the training was for only two days. On the third day, Thursday, the special branch of Delhi Police caught them.

Weapons recovered from the suspects

A hand grenade, a dummy INSAS, an AK-47 rifle, a .38 bore revolver, 6 live cartridges of .38 bore, 30 live cartridges of .32 bore, 30 live cartridges of AK-47, an air rifle, an iron elbow pipe, a remote control, some wires, an AA size 1.5 volt battery, a table clock, four ground sheets and a camping tent were recovered from the Bhiwadi training camp in Rajasthan.

Raids in Jharkhand, Delhi, Rajasthan and UP

Investigation has revealed that most of the people involved in the terrorist module are from Ranchi and its surrounding areas. According to the police, raids are being conducted in search of many more suspects associated with the terrorist module. Raids are being conducted in Jharkhand, Delhi, Rajasthan and UP.

Notice to two, one minor will be questioned

The Special Branch of Delhi Police has sent notices to two other suspects to join the investigation. A minor is also included in the module, who is to be questioned. 11 out of 14 suspects of the terror module have been arrested.

So far they have been caught

Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed, Matiur, Rizwan, Mufti Rahmatullah and Faizan from Ranchi; Hasan Ansari, Inamul Ansari, Altaf Ansari, Arshad Khan, Shahbaz Ansari and Umar Farooq from Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.
