On this, online identity cards can be made not only for ex-servicemen but also for widows of ex-servicemen and their dependents.
On Friday, Defense Services Welfare Minister Fauja Singh Sarari, while launching a new web portal e-Senani for the convenience of defense personnel in Chandigarh, said that the Aam Aadmi Party government will take care of the defense soldiers who make valuable contributions in difficult times for the security of the countrymen. Apart from this, ex-servicemen and their dependents can apply for jobs in different categories of defense services from the state government.
The Minister further informed that ex-gratia grants to the next of kin of martyrs and disabled servicemen, grant of cash awards to gallantry and distinguished awardees (civilians) and employment certificates to lineal descendants or ex-servicemen will be given to the beneficiaries of categories of defense services.
