New Delhi. Earthquake tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday night at 10.20 pm. The tremors of the earthquake were so strong that people got scared and came out of their homes. Earthquake tremors have been felt in Jammu, Rajori, Poonch, Kathua, Srinagar districts of the state. Its intensity was measured at 6.6 on the Richter scale. According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicenter of the earthquake was the Fayzabad area of ​​Afghanistan. Not only this, earthquake tremors were also felt in Katra before Chaitra Navratri. The devotees who went to visit Maa Vaishno Devi were shaken by the strong tremors of the earthquake. Talking to ANI, the owner of a guest house in Katra, Jammu said that after the strong tremors of the earthquake, people got scared and came out of the hotel.

Shubham, the owner of the guest house, said, ‘Very strong tremors have been felt in Katra. All the devotees who had come to visit Maa Vaishno Devi got scared and left their hotel empty-handed. People were very scared. People came out of the hotel with small children and the elderly. It is a matter of relief that there was no loss of life or property. Now gradually the situation is becoming normal. People are going back to their hotels. Although fear is still visible in the hearts of people somewhere.
