East champaran: Champaran’s Vivek did not give up on failures, got success in IIT by doing self-study

East Champaran. It is said that failure shows us the way to rectify our shortcomings. The one who has rectified his shortcomings, he definitely gets success. Similar is the story of Vivek Kumar, a resident of Pakdidayal in the district. Despite repeated failures, he has secured 295th rank in IIT JAM 2023.

Vivek’s father is employed in the Sugauli sugar mill, while his mother is an Anganwadi worker. Vivek’s early education was from the primary school of Sirha village of Pakridayal block. He prepared for admission in Navodaya in class VI, but failed. After this he got admission in Navodaya for class IX. After studying up to 10th from Navodaya Vidyalaya, he passed 12th from Bhagwan Singh College, Madhuban.

If Vivek is to be believed, he had dreamed of doing IIT while studying in Navodaya School. He also went to Delhi for this, also prepared, but did not pass. The family members insisted on going to Kota. Went there and prepared, but failed. Then took admission in graduation from Munshi Singh College, Motihari. But did not lose courage. Vivek told that he continued his self-study during graduation. Now AIR 295th rank has come.

Father mortgaged the land to teach

Vivek says that he had to face a lot of difficulties during the preparation. Living in Delhi and studying was very expensive. Being from a middle class family, it was not easy for his family to raise money. However, the family members never let him feel financial problems. Later it came to know that the father had mortgaged the land to teach him.

Father had an accident before the exam

Vivek says that before the exam, father had an accident. Because of this, he was not able to concentrate on studies. Still, recovering from all those things, continued the preparation. Vivek says that in future he wants to do research on Group Theory of Modern Algebra.
