Farooq Abdullah, National Conference
New Delhi: The name of another opposition leader has been added to the leaders summoned by the ED. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah for questioning in a money laundering case. The ED team has called him for questioning on Thursday. He will be questioned in connection with alleged financial irregularities in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association money laundering case.
Farooq, MP from Srinagar Lok Sabha seat
86-year-old Farooq Abdullah is an MP from Srinagar Lok Sabha seat. The ED had filed a charge sheet against Farooq Abdullah in 2022 regarding irregularities in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA). ED had registered the case on the basis of the charge sheet filed by CBI in the year 2018.
Omar Abdullah was interrogated in April last year
In the summons sent by ED, Farooq Abdullah has been asked to appear at the office of the Enforcement Directorate in Srinagar. Let us tell you that in April last year, the investigating agency had interrogated Farooq Abdullah’s son Omar Abdullah in the Jammu and Kashmir bank fraud case.
