This indication has been received from the two-day visit of the Election Commission of India team to Jharkhand and the meetings held regarding suggestions and preparations of political parties.
The team of Election Commission of India held a meeting on election preparations with all the commissioners, zonal IG, district election officer, DIG, SP on Tuesday. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that the commission is ready for the Jharkhand assembly elections. Voting is going to be held in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. The commission’s team will visit Maharashtra on 26-27 September. After returning from there, it will take a decision on Jharkhand assembly elections. He warned the officials that strict action will be taken if anyone takes the side of any party during the election. Do not be afraid of anyone’s false allegations during the election, remain firm. Action has to be taken after investigation. All political parties should get equal rights, but do not work under anyone’s pressure.
Arrangements will be made to bring voters who are more than two kilometers away
The Chief Election Commissioner clarified that arrangements will be made to bring voters if the distance from the polling station is more than two kilometers. CCTV cameras will be installed at all polling stations. The tables of political parties will be at a distance of 200 meters from the polling station gate.

Chief Election Commissioner of India Rajiv Kumar said that instructions have been given to connect prominent sportspersons of the state with elections to make voters aware. Here, voters can be made aware through national hockey-football players and Chhau dance. Small documentaries can be made to make voters aware during elections. Also, the state’s art-culture, sports and all its specialties can be used to make voters aware.
