Brazil telecommunication officials have been given 24 hours to shut it down. Not only this, users who access X through VPN after the ban will also be fined about Rs 7.5 lakh per day.

Apple and Google have been given 5 days to block X from online stores. Along with this, Internet Service Providers have also been given 5 days to block X. Moraes wrote in his decision that X is helping to create a completely illegal environment in Brazil’s social network and this also includes the 2024 local elections. He said that the company has repeatedly and deliberately disrespected the court order.

Morez also wrote in the order that users using X via VPN in Brazil will be fined $8874 (about Rs 7.5 lakh) every day. According to the report, Musk had closed X’s office in Brazil earlier this month in protest against the court order to remove some accounts spreading false information.
