Another case of brutality against an innocent has come to light in Maharashtra. It is reported that the accused first sexually assaulted a minor girl and later killed her by pelting stones at her. There are massive protests against this incident. Local people are demanding strict action against the accused. The special thing is that in August itself, a case of sexual abuse of two minor girls came to light in Badlapur.
The incident is from Jalgaon in Maharashtra. According to a News18 report, police said on Monday that a 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and later stoned to death. There are reports that when the victim was alone in the house, the accused reached there and took her out. The report quoted sources as saying that the girl was stoned to death after allegedly raping her.
According to the channel, Chopra City Police Inspector Madhukar Salve has said that the accused has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing. He said, ‘A case of murder of a 13-year-old girl has come to light. We have arrested the accused. The accused killed the girl by hitting her with a stone. We are still investigating this case.’
Father-in-law and brother-in-law arrested in Kalyan rape case
The father-in-law and brother-in-law of a 27-year-old woman working at a brick kiln in Kalyan in Thane district were arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping her, a police official said. Murbad sub-divisional police officer Jagdish Shinde said the father-son duo and a minor barged into the woman’s hut on September 6 and raped her.
“The accused are the victim’s father-in-law (50) and brother-in-law (22). The minor has been detained. The victim’s husband has also been detained. The victim is seriously injured after the gang rape and has been admitted to Thane Civil Hospital,” he said.
“She was stabbed and also attacked with a sickle. When the victim told her husband about the incident, he thrashed her. Under the Indian Justice Code, a case of gang rape and causing grievous hurt has been registered. Thane Rural Superintendent of Police DS Swami is personally monitoring the investigation,” the official said.
