It was written in our destiny – Arun Yogiraj
I consider myself the luckiest person in the world. I would like to salute my ancestors, parents and family deities for getting this opportunity. It is very difficult to get such a big responsibility at this age and it is by the grace of God that our idol was selected. The people of the country are also liking it, this is a big thing. Perhaps this was written in our destiny.
What did you do homework?
‘My first goal was to unite the entire country. I am from South India, from Karnataka, but while making the statue, I had only one thing in my mind that I am just an Indian. The region has an impact on the art and there is no reference made earlier on Ramlala. I studied the sculptures of the entire country, studied the jewellery, researched every part of the sculpture. The biggest problem in making statues is related to the face, for this the faces of children were studied.
