Farmers agitated by lathicharge in Kurukshetra, jammed at various places

New Delhi. The farmers of the country are once again ready to join hands with the central government. After the lathicharge in Kurukshetra, Haryana, farmers across the state tried to block the wheel. In Haryana, farmers protested by stopping traffic on the roads. Farmers got angry in protest against the lathi charge in Shahbad of Kurukshetra. After this, he closed the Gangayacha toll plaza on the Rewari-Rohtak road.

Not only this, roads were blocked by farmers at many places including Hisar, Sonipat, Jhajjar, Rohtak. Farmers shouted slogans against the government. The police made the farmers sit on the side of the road. A large number of police forces, including DSP and several police station in-charges, reached the spot and were deployed in Kurukshetra. Slowly this protest spread all over Haryana. Farmer organizations have demanded that all the arrested farmers should be released immediately. Otherwise its consequences may have to be faced.

This whole episode happened during the protest against the government not procuring at the minimum support price. Farmers were angry for not procuring sunflower seeds at the minimum support price. Members of the Bharatiya Kisan Union opposed this. Roads were blocked at different places. Due to which the police were forced to use mild force.
