Indian Forest Service officer Deepak Sharma, who exposed the Bellary mining scam, has been honored with the Eco Warrior Lifetime Achievement Award. He was given this award on Wednesday for his outstanding services. Actually, the Bellary mining scam was worth more than Rs 1 lakh crore, which was exposed by Deepak Sharma. He received this award in a ceremony organized at Dr. Ambedkar International Center in Delhi. This ceremony was jointly organized by the Forest Service Association and Indian Mastermind.

Forest Conservator of Mysore, Karnataka, Dr. P Ramesh Karuma for wildlife conservation, DFO of Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, Anupam Sharma for forest conservation, Nivesik Pratibha Ahirwar of Madhav National Park, Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh for wildlife protection, Deputy Director of Sundarban Tiger Reserve, West Bengal, Jones Justin for community conservation and Deputy Director of Sita Nadi Udanti Tiger Reserve, Ghaziabad, Varun Jain for best use of technology for conservation were honored.
