Former President of Atlas Cycles, Salil Kapoor committed suicide by shooting himself at his house in Delhi on Tuesday. Police have recovered a suicide note from the spot, in which he has accused some people of harassment while mentioning financial burden. At present, the police is investigating the case.
Giving information about this, a Delhi Police official said that Kapoor’s body was found by his manager at around 1 pm near the puja room of his house on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road, soaked in blood. According to the officer, Kapoor shot himself in the head with a licensed revolver.
The police officer said that Kapoor is survived by his wife and three children, who live separately from him. Kapoor lived with his manager and his family in a three-storey building. He said that Kapoor was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After the incident, forensic and crime teams were called, who collected evidence from the spot.
Let us tell you that Kapoor was arrested in 2015 by the Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police in a fraud case of Rs 9 crore. FIRs were registered against him in two separate cases of fraud. In January 2020, his sister-in-law Natasha Kapoor also committed suicide by hanging herself in the same house. In her suicide note, she had requested the family members to take care of her, although she did not reveal the reason for suicide.
