Former principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh has been arrested. According to reports, this arrest has been made in a corruption case.
Sandeep Ghosh was questioned by the CBI for several consecutive days. He is on the radar of the agency in the financial irregularities case in the hospital. An FIR has already been registered against him and other entities. The CBI is conducting this investigation after complaints by the former Deputy Superintendent of the hospital Akhtar Ali. He had made other allegations of financial malpractices like smuggling of unclaimed bodies, corruption in the disposal of bio-medical waste, nepotism in construction tenders during Ghosh’s tenure as principal.
