‘Freedom fighters taught that people of different ideologies can also come together’ – Mohan Bhagwat

Patna: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Sunday that those who fought for the country’s independence showed how people with different ideologies can come together for a common cause. Bhagwat was speaking at a function in Malkhchak village of Saran district on the third day of his four-day tour of Bihar. This program was organized in the memory of lesser known freedom fighters. Bhagwat was addressing the program before going to Darbhanga where he will interact with RSS workers from across the state. Bhagwat also released a book titled “Scattered Episodes of Freedom Movement” on this occasion.

The RSS chief said, “Those who fought for freedom showed how people with different ideologies can come together for a common cause.” Leader of the Opposition Vijay Kumar Sinha and others also participated. Rejecting the notion of a “world power”, he attributed such misplaced ambitions to the Russia-Ukraine war and claimed that India would never have such aspirations. He said that the ancient civilization of India has always stood for universal welfare.
