Uttarkashi. The process of closing the doors of the four Dhams has started for the winter. On Friday, the doors of Gangotri Dham have been closed with due diligence. During this a large number of devotees were present in the Dham. The doors of Gangotri Dham were closed for the winter on the occasion of Annakoot festival on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the preparations for the closure of the doors of Gangotri Dham had started from morning. First of all, the crown of Mother Ganga was lowered on Uday Bela. In the meantime, devotees have darshan of the Bhog idol of the mother. After this, the doors of Gangotri Dham were closed for the devotees at 12:01 on the auspicious time of Amrit Bela, Swati Nakshatra Preetiyoga. During this, the pilgrimage priests performed special worship and recited Ganga Lahiri. As soon as the Bhogmurti of Ganga came out of the temple premises, the whole atmosphere became devotional. With the beats of the traditional dhol, Damau, to the tune of the band of the 11th Corps of the Army, the pilgrim priest left for the winter migration to Mukhba village carrying the Ganges Doli.

More than 6 lakh people visited Gangotri
For the night’s rest, the Utsav Doli of Ganga reached the temple of Goddess Chandomati four km before Mukhba. Where Bhajan Kirtan went on throughout the night. This year a record number of pilgrims have visited Gangotri Dham. Talking about Gangotri Dham alone, 6 lakh 25 pilgrims have visited. For which Gangotri MLA Suresh Chauhan seems excited. He talked about promoting winter travel. On Thursday morning, Utsav Doli of Mother Ganga will reach from Chandomati Mata Temple to Ganga Temple at Mukhimath. Where Maa Ganga will be duly worshiped for the next six months. With the closure of Gangotri Dham, the doors of Chardhar temples have started to be closed.

Preparations started for the closure of Yamunotri Dham doors
After the world famous Gangotri Dham, now preparations have started for the closure of the doors of Yamunotri Dham. The doors of Yamunotri Dham will be closed on October 27 at 12.09 pm on Bhaiya Dooj. The doli of Shani Maharaj will reach on the morning of 27 October from Kharshali village to take the doli of Yamuna. A large number of devotees have started reaching Yamanotri Dham. Preparations are going on in full swing to close the doors of Yamunotri Dham.
