Footprints of Lord Vishnu Next to the Vishnupad Temple is the 600-year-old Gurudwara of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, where he arrived and taught his Sikh followers.

There are two gurdwaras in Gaya city where people of the Sikh community offer prayers. Of these, the 600-year-old Gurudwara of Guru Nanak Dev Ji at Vishnupad is going through a period of disrepair these days. Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave education to Sikhs in Gaya

It is said that when Guru Nanak Dev Ji went on a pilgrimage during Udasi, he had arrived at Gaya. Here, for four days, right next to the Vishnupad temple, he taught the people of the Sikh community. After that the number of Sikh followers in Gaya kept on increasing and today this number has reached around 1,000. Despite this, the Gurudwaras associated with the Sikh community could not be developed here. Moreover, the condition of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurdwara located in Vishnupad has become bad.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is doing a lot of work for the development of Sikh society. Therefore, the Sikhs of Gaya believe that in the coming days the historical Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurdwara will also develop and it will develop as a tourist destination.

Talks going on with Patna Sahib Management Committee regarding renovation

On the other hand, Parmit Singh Bagga, convenor of the Khalsa Youth Parivar, says that it is unfortunate that the condition of the historical Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurdwara is very dilapidated. Whenever a Sangat comes from outside and reaches the historical Gurudwara, it hurts a lot to see the bad condition there.

He said that talks are going on with the Patna Sahib Management Committee regarding the renovation of this historic gurudwara. Along with this, the matter has been conveyed to the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and it is expected that in the next three-four years this historical Gurudwara will be renovated and it will be developed as a tourist destination.
