In this series, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited ie IRCTC has released a new initiative, in which passengers will now get their desired food delivered to their berths in the train by messaging them on WhatsApp. Giving information about this, the PRO of Malda Division, Rupa Mandal said that Indian Railways has started this new service, under which passengers will get food in the train as soon as they message on WhatsApp. This facility has just been started at some selected stations.

The facility will be provided to the passengers by PSU IRCTC of Indian Railways. In this, WhatsApp number 87500-01323 has been issued for e-catering to the passengers. On this number, passengers will be able to contact e-catering to order their food. Along with this, you will also be able to give feedback on food related questions. In the first phase, this facility will be available only in some selected trains. This facility will be implemented in several phases.

Facility started in some selected routes and selected trains as a trial

Based on the feedback of the passengers, this facility will be implemented in other trains as well. At present, this facility has been started in some selected routes and some selected trains as a trial run. A WhatsApp number has been issued in the name of Food on Track. Through this number, passengers can order food of their choice only at some selected stations, and it will be delivered to them in the train.

Starting this, IRCTC served food to 50,000 people on the first day through both online and offline means. If there is any complaint or other feedback to be given in the food, then passengers can give complaints and suggestions on this number through the number issued. If the quality of food is not good, service is not good, then you can keep your point through this WhatsApp number.

Food of your choice will be available on the passenger’s seat in the train

PRO Roopa Mandal told that this number has been issued for the convenience of the passengers, so that now the desired food will be available to them on their seat in the coach in the train. A WhatsApp number has been issued for this. It has been started with trains on select routes. Looking at the feedback, it will be expanded further, so that all passengers can get its benefit.
