Good News: These 55 lakh people of UP have a gift, treatment and a chance to go to pilgrimage from the Yogi government

In the Amrit Mahotsav year of independence, the Yogi government is going to give a big gift of health security to about 55 lakh construction workers of the state. These workers registered with the Labor Department will be covered under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana with health insurance up to Rs 5 lakh. Under this, their golden cards will be made. At the same time, the UP government has opened the treasury for the welfare of the workers. The government is also giving 12 thousand rupees to the workers under the Shravan Kumar Shramik Parivar Religious Tourist Travel Scheme to send them on pilgrimage.

The special campaign for making golden cards for insurance cover is going to start from July 25, which will continue till August 14, on the eve of Independence Day. These cards will be distributed from August 11. This initiative of the government will benefit 3.98 lakh workers in Gorakhpur-Basti division. The state government has decided to cover construction workers registered with the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board with the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana. To take advantage of the scheme, the worker should have a golden card, but the workers who do not have a golden card were not able to get the benefit of this scheme, important for free treatment. To overcome this problem, the Yogi government is going to run a special campaign to make golden cards of registered construction workers. In this regard, the Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has issued detailed guidelines to all the District Magistrates and officers of the Labor Department in the state.

Golden cards will be made for 54.91 lakh workers
In order to bring qualitative improvement in the lives of registered construction workers and their family members through health security, a target has been set to make golden cards of 54 lakh 91 thousand 44 workers in the state. As a labor family, this number will be 38 lakh 30 thousand 632. For making the Golden Card, for the special campaign starting from July 25, the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has made available the block wise list of eligible workers at the district level.

Golden card will be made on all CSC
These cards will be made at all the Public Service Centers (CSCs) so that there is no inconvenience or rush in getting the Golden Card of the registered construction workers. In this, health friends will also play their responsibility. Along with this, the upgraded ration quota in the form of CSC will also be able to make a golden card. The cards will be made from July 25 to August 14 and their distribution will also be ensured between August 11 and 14.

UP government has opened the treasury for the welfare of workers
For the welfare of the workers, the UP government has opened the treasury. In the year 2022-23, an amount of Rs 306.99 crore has been transferred by the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board for various labor welfare schemes. Not only this, the government is also giving 12 thousand rupees to the workers under the Shravan Kumar Shramik Parivar Religious Tourist Travel Scheme to send them on pilgrimage.

Golden cards will be made for 3.98 lakh workers in Gorakhpur-Basti division
In the special campaign to be run for the benefit of PM-CM Jan Arogya Yojana, golden cards of 3 lakh 97 thousand 998 workers will be made in Gorakhpur-Basti division. In terms of labor family, this number will be 3 lakh 2 thousand 894.
